What I’m Packing For Paris

Outfit Details:
Hermes JacketSold Out NYC Shirt, Prada Skirt (similar here, less expensive here), Hermes Scarf, Khaite Boots (similar here and here), Savette BagSaint Laurent Sunglasses, Heaven Mayhem Earrings

As I pack for our upcoming trip to Paris, a city that captivates me especially during the festive season, I’m carefully choosing pieces that blend with the city’s holiday ambiance. A plush velvet bucket hat, and an elegant bag are essentials for stylish outings, while a warm faux fur coat is perfect for brisk holiday shopping. An ankle-length a-line dress in a subtle palette ensures elegance for special events and elegant evenings. See below for more of my personal styles, selected to create memorable experiences with the festive atmosphere of Paris.

Comfortable walking shoes are a must for any trip, and these luxe suede ballet flats, adorned with studded crystals, are a chic blend of style and comfort that’s perfect for any excursion. I’d style them with denim or a midi skirt for a polished yet practical outfit.

This elegant silk scarf, with its mixed-print design, is a lightweight and packable staple for travel. I picture draping it over a blazer or coat for a chic museum day look, or tying it to a handbag for a subtle pop of color that transitions effortlessly from day to night.

Soft and foldable, this velvet bucket hat is as stylish as it is versatile, and will effortlessly elevate any look. I envision accessorizing it with a dress, cozy coat, and riding boots while strolling the Parisian streets.

Dressed for the Afterglow

Outfit Details: Rixo Dress, Miu Miu Bag, Ancient Greek Sandals, Carolina Bucci Necklace (similar, less expensive here and here)

There’s a specific kind of dressing that only happens as the sun starts to drop. The light goes warm and low, everything picks up a little shine, and I want to be wearing something that catches it.

That instinct is exactly what pulled me toward this Rixo dress. Between the mirrored embroidery and the rainbow watercolor effect, it’s the kind of piece that feels special without trying too hard. Fun, a little dazzling, easy to fall for. This edit follows the same idea. Every piece has some shine, sparkle, or bit of embellishment that comes alive as the day winds down, all in those warm, glowy tones that feel just right for July nights.

Amazon Sundays: Get Ahead on Back to School

This week’s Amazon Sunday is all about getting ahead on back-to-school supplies while summer is still very much happening. I’m soaking up the last of it, but the first day always has a way of sneaking up right behind me. The idea is to have the necessities prepped and ready to go now, so that when the morning actually comes, the only thing left to think about is packing lunch.

I pulled together the pieces that make the transition feel easier, from a lunchbox that keeps everything fresh to craft supplies and notebooks. Then all the things that keep routines organized, like a label maker, family calendar, and a restock on my favorite stain treater.

Browse the full selection below, and explore more in our JB Amazon Shop and Amazon Storefront, refreshed weekly.

Personalized Backpack

A personalized backpack makes the first day feel a little more official, and it is one of those pieces that feels just as useful for school mornings as it does for weekend activities.

Kids Art Smock

An art smock is exactly the kind of small thing you are happy to have before the projects start coming home, keeping paint, markers, and glue a little more contained from the very beginning of the school year.

The Matching Set, But Make It Swim

Outfit Details: Montce Bikini & Pants, Eliou Necklace (old, similar here), Janessa Leone Hat, Ancient Greek Sandals, Retrosuperfuture Sunglasses

There is something so satisfying about a matching set, that feeling of being put together head to toe with almost zero thinking required. Swimwear makes an especially good case for it. I love when a suit has a second act, a sarong, a pair of pants, or a linen dress cut from the same print, so the move from pool to lunch barely counts as an outfit change. The last thing I want to think through is an elaborate look when the whole point of the day is relaxing by the water.

That is what a set like this solves. It adds polish and intention to beach dressing, building a look full of color and personality that still makes sense for a swim but can carry you through the rest of the day.
