Walmarts Cyber Monday sale starts tonight — shop early deals now
Table of Contents
Walmart’s holiday programming comes to a head today (Sunday, Dec. 1) as its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales do a changing of the guard.
The big-box store’s second Black Friday Deals event ends at midnight ET, closing the curtain on doorbusters like a $178 55-inch 4K Roku TV, $29 JBL noise-cancelling headphones, $30 copies of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and new record-low prices on several Apple gadgets. Its Cyber Monday sale launched early access for paid members of the Walmart+ program at 5 p.m. ET — everyone else can start adding things to their carts at 8 p.m. ET. Non-members interested in joining for that head start can save 50% on an annual Walmart+ membership through Monday (Dec. 2).
When Walmart’s early-access Cyber Monday deal begins, look out for the following rollbacks and doorbusters, among many others:
These offers will be available online and on the Walmart mobile app through Monday at midnight ET, unless they sell out first.
Mashable’s team of deal-hunting pros knows how to distinguish good discounts from duds (having covered Cyber Weekend sales for nearly a decade), and we’re keeping a running list of Walmart’s top holiday deals on popular tech and gifts this season. That includes TVs, laptops, headphones, gaming gear, vacuums, beauty tech, and Legos.
Keep scrolling to see our picks, and check back often: Walmart is dropping additional deals randomly during its holiday sales this year. A quick FYI that Walmart doesn’t do price matches, but its extended return/exchange policy is in effect through Dec. 31. It covers most items purchased in stores and online.
Note: All newly added or updated deals have been marked with a ✨, while struck-through deals were sold out at the time of writing.
Best Apple Deal
Why we like it:
Read Mashable’s full review of the Apple AirPods Pro 2.
Apple’s second-generation ANC earbuds have an Adaptive Transparency mode that lets the user hear environmental sounds while reducing loud noises, and — as this fall — a new clinical-grade Hearing Aid feature. Our reviewer was impressed by their “great sound” and a “long-lasting battery life,” and appreciated the fact that they retained the same “really comfortable” fit as their predecessors. You don’t need to upgrade if you already own the original AirPods Pro, but they’re a nice upgrade from the non-Pro version.
Walmart has been a trendsetter this Black Friday: After it dropped the AirPods Pro 2 down to a record-low of $154 during its second Black Friday deals event (normally $249), other retailers like Amazon and Target swiftly followed suit. Neither of its competitors’ deals were still live at the time of writing.

Best TV deal
Why we like it:
Walmart is famous for its Black Friday TV doorbusters, and this year the big-box store went hard. This is simply the cheapest TV deal we’re currently seeing in the 55-inch size category, and the competition is pretty darn strong. Best Buy’s least-expensive contender is $219.99, while Amazon’s low-end option costs $299.99 — though both of those models have nicer, brighter QLED displays.
Walmart also has a 55-inch QLED Roku TV on sale for $288 (normally $348). Best Buy’s cheaper QLED model is a Google TV, so the one you ultimately add to your cart will come down to your smart TV platform preference.

Best gaming deal
Why we like it:
Read Mashable’s full review of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
The stunning sequel to Breath of the Wild was one of Mashable’s favorite games of 2023, and it’s never been this cheap before. It actually sold out once at this price earlier in the week; it was back in stock at the time of writing. Note that Walmart’s deal only applies to the digital version of the game, so you won’t have anything to wrap, but you (or a giftee) can start playing it immediately.

Best headphone/earbud deal
Why we like it:
Our initial reaction to seeing this deal was, “Is this allowed? ” Twenty-nine bucks is a surprisingly and stupidly low price on a solid pair of comfy budget headphones with good noise cancellation and a long battery life. (JLab has rated them at up to 70 hours; we’re currently testing them and feel like that’s accurate.) Elsewhere, the JBuds Lux ANC are going for $46.99 at Amazon and $49.99 on the JLab website, so no idea how Walmart finagled this one.

BookCon 2026: Authors Rachel Reid, Stephanie Archer talk hockey romance and how it could change the sport for the better
With the fervor of Heated Rivalry, there’s a fierce desire among book readers for even more hockey. On Sunday, April 19, at BookCon, the “You Had Me at Hockey: A Look at One of Sports Romance’s Hottest Genres”, authors Rachel Reid (Heated Rivalry, Game Changer), Emily Rath (Pucking Around), Ngozi Ukazu (Check Please), Stephanie Archer (The Wild Card), and Kate Cochrane (Wake Up, Nat & Darcy) were joined by moderator and fellow author Bal Khabra (Collide) to discuss the rise and continued success of hockey romance.
Khabra kicked off the panel, asking just how hockey became so popular. Ukazu joked that it was as if the genre “escaped containment,” like when the Omegaverse went mainstream, while Reid described the mystery around hockey, saying, “what [the players] are doing seems impossible.” Archer also added that the sport itself is exceptionally hard on the body, and the celebrity around players, especially in Canada, is fun to play with.
But there’s more to the genre’s success than the tropes. “It has to be said,” Rath argued, “that the cornerstone of why this is so popular in publishing is racism.” She went on to say that straight, white women’s voices dominated the romance genre for so long, pointing out that hockey is also the whitest sport. Among major league sports, the NHL is the most predominantly white. In 2022, ESPN reported that 83.6% of league players and staff were white, compared to the NFL, where 25-27% of players are white, or the NBA, where white players make up 17.5% of the league.
Mashable Top Stories
Zooming into the genre, the authors also spoke about the writing process. They dove into the deeper aspects of their work, even the smut. Rath said, “I think the least sexy thing you can ever do is write a sex scene.” A similar sentiment came up during Reid’s Saturday panel, where she described using the sex scenes to further the emotional arc. When readers ask authors if they can skip the spice, Archer says of her own books, “No, you can’t skip the sex scenes. You’re missing so much character development if you don’t go on the journey with them.”
The panel turned to the future, too. Many of the authors write BIPOC and queer representation into their novels, in a genre that often centers on whiteness and homophobia. “We’re writing the world as we want it to be,” Rath said.
Reid has found that there is progress toward a future that these authors and their readers want to see, saying that the NHL is interested in working with them. “People on the inside, they really want to work toward change and want to make this happen.”
With the hockey fandom at an all-time high, there’s a whole team behind these authors ready to drive change.
