There’s something about a two-piece set that just makes getting dressed feel easy. It takes the guesswork out, but still looks like you put real thought into it. The pink poplin top and skirt set stands out. It has structure through the top, a clean line through the skirt, and feels pulled together the second it’s on. It also separates well—the top with denim, the skirt with a simple tank—so it carries beyond just one look.

What I’ve been reaching for are sets that hold on their own in cotton poplin skirts with matching tops, soft tailoring in color, or an easy striped short set. The mix feels especially right this season, from white and creamy beige, to soft pink, and emerald green, all in breathable fabrics and comfortable proportions, including a bit of texture, and that cabana stripe moment that always comes back this time of year.

Spring hosting is one of my favorite things to plan, especially as everything starts to pick up again. I usually build it around pieces that feel just as right for getting dressed as they do for setting the table.
The dresses here lean into soft florals, airy cottons, and subtle structure—gathered waists, delicate straps, and movement through the skirt—styles that feel suited for hosting, small gatherings, and spring events. Alongside them, the table brings in green and white ceramics, woven placemats, and textured glassware that add depth and warmth.
There’s a mix of pattern throughout—florals layered with stripes, soft color paired with neutrals—carried through both the dresses and the tabletop for spring hosting, event-ready dresses, and seasonal table settings.

The Blouse Moment

Blouses are doing the heavy lifting this spring, the kind you build the outfit around, not add on at the end. What’s coming through most is movement. Lightweight silks, chiffons, and cottons that sit away from the body and create shape on their own.
Ruffles are still present, placed along the neckline, sleeve, or hem to add detail with intention. Volume shows up through fuller sleeves, balanced with clean lines through the body.
Print is where it gets interesting. Paisley, mixed florals, and layered patterns show up across a lot of these, often in slightly unexpected color combinations. It reads more collected than coordinated.
There’s also a range in shape—cropped, draped pieces next to longer, almost tunic-like styles, along with a few that lean more directional through asymmetry or scarf-inspired cuts. Then the more classic blouses, finished with pleating, lace, or subtle embroidery.

Polka dots are a pattern I find myself reaching for again and again, especially when I’m getting ready to go on a trip. They bring a look together in an instant, refined, playful, and easy to style, even when paired with other colors or prints. They work across so many pieces, from more tailored silhouettes to softer, fluid shapes.
They also lend themselves to different directions. A drop-waist skirt with a bit of movement feels fresh and slightly unexpected, while a simple scarf adds just enough detail when tied at the neck or worn in the hair. Matching sets in lightweight fabrics feel polished but relaxed, and an easy mini dress is always a go-to for something effortless, especially for days that move from one plan to the next.
