Soft Power: The Art of Muted Hues
Outfit Details:
Merlette Dress, Celine Belt (similar here and here), Margaux Pumps, Savette Bag, Saint Laurent Sunglasses
Soft, understated hues bring a fresh take on early spring neutrals, offering a balance of lightness and depth. Buttery yellow, powder blue, lilac, blush pink, muted sage, and creamy whites feel effortless yet distinctive—versatile enough to mix with richer shades or stand on their own with quiet confidence. These softened tones capture the season’s sense of renewal, feeling both fresh and timeless.

Base Notes
Outfit Details: Eterne Halter, Doen Skirt, Gabriela Hearst Sandals, Zimmermann Scarf, Retrosuperfuture Sunglasses
The pieces I buy in multiples are the ones I’ve tried and tested and keep coming back to. I know I love them, I know they work, and I know they earn their place, so I buy them again in a different color, or a stripe instead of a solid. Every version unlocks a new variety of outfits, whether it’s a weekend away or a slow day at home, and each one brings a little freshness to what I already own.

A foundation piece doesn’t have to be boring, or something that lives at the back of the closet. For me it has to hold its own: a cotton tank with some shape, a white skirt that looks right with sandals and with a dressier flat, a striped shirt that reads casual and comfortable but still crisp. I can keep adding versions because each one shifts the outfit a little, and suddenly the dependable pieces are the ones making everything else more fun to wear.
Cotton Poplin Shirt
A classic white shirt is a crisp foundation piece that pairs effortlessly with everything from denim to tailoring.
Ribbed Cotton Tank
A refined essential tank in a vibrant hue that anchors endless warm-weather looks.

Dressed in Gemstone Shades
Outfit Details: Fforme Dress, Valentino Belt, Sherman Field Necklace, Jenna Blake Necklace (similar here), Miu Miu Flats (similar here)
There’s something so special about the way a gemstone comes to life depending on what it’s paired with. An emerald warmed by gold, a citrine brightened against a deeper, richer shade, a fleck of amethyst made all the more purple next to a dress in the same family. The color of a stone can shift so much when it meets a certain texture, the way satin can deepen green aventurine or lend it a little more fluidity. And a dress in a single jewel tone plays up the stones in a necklace, every shade catching against the next, the outfit as rich and deliberate as the stones that inspired it.

Amazon Sundays: The Pieces Staying in Rotation
This week’s Amazon Sunday is centered on the pieces I’d reach for now that will also carry me into the next few months as the temperatures start to shift. Everything still feels right for July, but we’re adding a little more texture, more fall-forward finishes and super light layers, from suede to lace-edged cotton and striped shirting that can be worn open now and layered later.
I’m leaning into that balance at this point in the season, where a bright bead necklace brings color to cotton, a button-down can go from pool layer to dinner shirt, and a fuller skirt or relaxed pant adds shape while still feeling airy. These are the finds that stay in rotation, made for warm days, cooler nights, and the outfits that land somewhere in between.
