SEC, Big Ten have four teams each in women's Top 10

The Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten each have four teams inside the top 10 in The Associated Press Top 25 women’s college basketball poll released Monday.

No. 1 UCLA (15-0), No. 4 Southern California (14-1), No. 8 Maryland (14-0) and No. 9 Ohio State (14-0) represent the Big Ten, while No. 2 South Carolina (14-1), No. 5 Texas (15-1), No. 6 LSU (17-0) and No. 10 Oklahoma (13-2) are the pride of the SEC. Both leagues have seven teams in the Top 25.

The Bruins received 30 of 32 first-place votes, with the others going to No. 3 Notre Dame (12-2) of the Atlantic Coast Conference. UConn (13-2) of the Big East checks in at No. 7.
