Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino left after five innings Saturday night against the Houston Astros with a right hand/hamate injury.

Pasquantino, who extended his hitting streak to eight games with a single earlier in the contest, appeared to injure himself on a swing in the bottom of the fifth with the game tied 4-4.

He was replaced in the lineup by Isaac Collins, who took over in left field. Jac Caglianone replaced Pasquantino at first base.

The 28-year-old first baseman is batting a career-worst .224 this season. He has a career .260 batting average with 76 home runs in five seasons with the Royals.

The Astros and Royals remained tied 7-7 when rain delayed the game with one out in the top of the eighth inning.
