RoboCop TV Series Gets Showrunner And Mega Producer

In March 2022, Amazon purchased MGM Studios for a staggering $8.5 billion, giving the global conglomerate access to the historic Hollywood studio’s treasure trove of intellectual property and successful franchises, including Stargate, Legally Blonde, Barbershop, The Magnificent Seven, and The Thomas Crown Affair.
Among those franchises was also Robocop, which was tapped for development into both a movie and a TV series in April 2023, with the TV series taking precedence. However, after the WGA and SAG strikes halted the development of countless productions throughout Hollywood, the future of the Robocop TV series was put into question for months.

T-Mobile is down. Social media users are not taking it well.
In case you haven’t heard, T-Mobile’s mobile network appeared to go down for a lot of users on Monday afternoon.
Users in the United States reported a widespread outage, with mobile service in particular being disrupted, and some users reported they were stuck in “SOS mode,” which can happen if service is interrupted. As usual, customers took to social media apps like X and Reddit to vent their frustrations, sometimes directly at T-Mobile itself.
On X, one user reported being stranded and unable to order a Lyft home (though, apparently, still able to post to X), while another said they were seeing a long line at their local T-Mobile store. Over on Reddit, a post about the outage has already collected more than 5,500 comments, with users trading rumors about the possible cause and potential fixes.

As a reminder: The person running a brand’s social media help line typically can’t fix the outage.
As of this writing, “T-Mobile” was trending on X, and search terms such as “Is t mobile down” and “t mobile outage” were trending on Google Search.
Mashable reached out to T-Mobile with questions about the outage, which the brand still hasn’t acknowledged. We’ll update this story if we receive more information.

Shortly after the issues were reported on Downdetector, searches surged on Google for SOS mode, which can appear on devices when service is disrupted. SOS mode means your phone should still be able to make emergency calls via satellite if needed.
On X, dozens of users complained of an outage, with some users specifically complaining about SOS mode.

Today’s Connections: Sports Edition will be easier if you’ve ever watched football.
As we’ve shared in previous hints stories, this is a version of the popular New York Times word game that seeks to test the knowledge of sports fans.
Like the original Connections, the game is all about finding the “common threads between words.” And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight, and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier — so we’ve served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.

What is Connections: Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s latest daily word game has launched in association with The Athletic, the New York Times property that provides the publication’s sports coverage. The sports Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Each puzzle features 16 words, and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there’s only one correct answer.
If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake — players get up to four mistakes before the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.
