Natus Vincere, G2 Esports reach final at BLAST Premier: Fall Final

Natus Vincere and G2 Esports won their semifinal matches Saturday and will meet Sunday in the grand final at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 competition in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Natus Vincere rallied to defeat FaZe Clan 2-1, falling 13-10 on Inferno before taking Ancient 13-11 to even the match. In the decisive game, Natus Vincere cruised to a 13-2 win on Anubis. Ukraine’s Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov led the way with 47 kills and a plus-11 kills-to-deaths differential.

G2 Esports also dropped their opener vs. Team Vitality, 13-9 on Anbus before rallying for a 13-7 win on Dust and putting away the match with a 16-14 overtime victory on Mirage to prevail 2-1. Guatemala’s Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa paced the winners with 66 kills and a plus-18 differential, while teammate Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina added 64 kills and a plus-20 differential.

Eight teams began this week’s $425,000 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, with the champion earning $200,000 and an entry into the World Final taking place from Oct. 30-Nov. 8 in Sentosa, Singapore.

All matches were best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.
