Daruis Garland scored 41 points with 11 assists and Kawhi Leonard added 34 points as the visiting Los Angeles Clippers ended a four-game losing streak with a 138-131 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

Derrick Jones Jr. scored 15 points, including two 3-pointers in overtime, as the Clippers (35-36) shot 56.7% from the floor and went 21 of 42 from 3-point range to salvage the final game of a three-game road trip.

While Leonard (ankle) returned from a one-game absence, Los Angeles was without Bennedict Mathurin (toe) for a third consecutive game.

Naji Marshall scored 28 points and Cooper Flagg added 18 points with 10 rebounds and four blocked shots as the Mavericks (23-48) lost their 11th consecutive home game.

P.J. Washington scored 21 points, Marvin Bagley III added 17 and Ryan Nembhard had 13 points with nine assists as the Mavericks shot 47.1% from the floor, while losing their third consecutive game overall and falling to 2-12 since Feb. 26.

Los Angeles thought it had a six-point lead with 1:28 remaining in regulation but the basket from Jones was wiped away on replay because of offensive goaltending.

The Mavericks answered by tying the game 120-120 on a putback from Marshall with 33 seconds remaining. A Marshall steal led to a fastbreak dunk from Washington as Dallas took a 122-120 lead with 24 seconds left.

Leonard tied the game at 122 on a layup with 19 seconds remaining in regulation and the game went into overtime after Washington’s made basket was released after the regulation buzzer.

Jones’ two 3-pointers in overtime, along with one from Garland and a layup from Leonard gave the Clippers a 133-124 lead with 2:48 left in the extra period and they finished off the victory from there.

The Mavericks led by as many as 12 points and had a 72-63 advantage at halftime behind 15 points from Flagg. Garland had 18 points at the half for the Clippers who shot 53.5% over the first two quarters, while the Mavericks shot 51.0%.

Marcel Hartel scored a sensational goal from long distance in the second half as St. Louis City broke out for its first win of the season, 3-1, over the visiting New England Revolution on Saturday.

Simon Becher and Chris Durkin also scored as St. Louis (1-3-1, 4 points) rallied from an early deficit to earn its first victory under new coach Yoann Damet.

Hartel’s goal came in the 83rd minute when he picked off a sloppy clear by the Revs and fired from roughly 40 yards out, looping a shot over New England keeper Matt Turner, who was out of position, well off the goal line.

Ilay Feingold scored in the 14th minute for New England (1-3-0, 3 points), which was coming off a 6-1 victory over FC Cincinnati, matching a team record for goals in an MLS match.

The Revs started fast but then surrendered three straight goals against a St. Louis team, which had scored just one goal entering the match.

The Revolution had possession for 54.7% of the match but put only two shots on goal.

New England took the lead in the 14th minute when Luca Langoni passed from the deep left side across the box and Feingold scored with his right foot into the top right corner.

St. Louis City responded in the 29th minute as New England failed to clear and Daniel Edelman seized possession, feeding Becher at the top of the box. Becher placed a left-footed shot into the top right corner making it 1-1.

Just before the end of the first half, St. Louis went up 2-1 as Rafael Santos’ in-swinging corner kick floated over defenders and to the right foot of Durkin in the center of the box. Durkin placed a high shot just under the crossbar to the center of the goal to give St. Louis City the lead for good.

Turner, who was called up to the U.S. national team earlier this week, had three saves for New England, while Roman Burki had one save for St. Louis.

Braden Frager drove for the winning layup with 2.2 seconds left Saturday night and fourth-seeded Nebraska rallied for a 74-72 win over fifth-seeded Vanderbilt in the second round of the NCAA Tournament’s South Region in Oklahoma City.

The result wasn’t secured until the Commodores’ Tyler Tanner, who scored a game-high 27 points, barely missed a 3-point shot from beyond halfcourt as time expired. Tanner’s heave hit the glass and went in and out, causing a gasp and then a wild ovation from the pro-Cornhusker crowd inside Paycom Center.

Prager and Pryce Sandfort each scored 15 points for Nebraska (28-6), which will play either top-seeded Florida or No. 9 Iowa Thursday in Houston. The Gators and Hawkeyes match up on Sunday night in Tampa.

Rienk Mast added 13 and Berke Buyuktuncel contributed 12 points for the Cornhuskers, who converted 29 of 52 field goal attempts, including 9 of 19 from the 3-point line. Nebraska will make its first-ever Sweet 16 appearance.

Tyler Nickel added 16 points for Vanderbilt (27-9), which rallied in the second half by canning 10 of 22 3-pointers. Tanner’s layup gave the Commodores a 72-70 edge with 58 seconds remaining but Mast equalized with 37.0 seconds on the clock by tipping home Sam Hoiberg’s missed layup.

The game featured wildly contrasting styles. Vanderbilt sought to speed Nebraska up with pressure and the Cornhuskers attempted to carve up the Commodores with precise halfcourt execution.

In the first half, it was Nebraska’s halfcourt sets that ruled, even though the Commodores were able to force seven turnovers in 31 possessions. The Cornhuskers were able to overcome the high turnover rate by drilling 15 of 25 field goals, including 6 of 10 on 3-pointers.

Mast connected on 3 of 4 first-half 3-point attempts, helping Nebraska open up a 31-21 lead at the 3:59 mark. Vandy got a little traction later in the half but still headed for the break looking at a 39-32 deficit.

Tanner kept the Commodores in contention with 15 points on 5 of 10 shooting before intermission.
