The Built-In Scarf Edit
Christopher Esber Top (more colors here), DL1961 Jeans, Etro Bag, Gucci Wedges (old, similar here and here), Sherman Field Necklaces & Earrings
Scarf accents have been everywhere lately — attached pareos, silk ties wrapped into denim, ribbon-trimmed hats, draped jersey dresses — and I completely understand the obsession! There’s something about this small detail that instantly elevates a summer look and infuses it with personality.
That’s exactly what caught my eye about this oversized tee by Christopher Esber, with the attached bandana moment. (The orange version sold out so quickly, but there are still a few other colors and sizes available here.) What I loved most was how easy it is to wear, while still feeling far more interesting than a plain tee. The attached scarf adds movement and finishes the outfit on its own, no extra effort required.

Naturally, I’ve been on the hunt for more scarf-attached pieces ever since — wide-leg jeans with silk waist ties, dresses with draped detail, raffia hats wrapped with printed ribbons, and bags finished with scarf handles. Every version brings that effortlessly styled energy that makes a summer outfit feel more directional and memorable, whether you’re dressing up for vacation or just elevating your everyday look.

The Summer Swirl
Zimmermann Top & Shorts, Janessa Leone Hat, Sherman Field Necklaces, Retrosuperfuture Sunglasses
Tie-dye has always belonged to summer, the kind of print that brings back memories of summer camp crafts, backyard afternoons, and the fun of turning something plain into something completely one-of-a-kind. It’s nostalgic in the best way, familiar without feeling expected, and somehow always finds its way back into my wardrobe when the weather gets warm.
This season’s takes feel like the best version yet, with swirled silk sets, printed bikinis, watercolor dresses, and whimsical jewelry and accessories that finish the look. The swirls and spirals I loved as a child, reimagined for the way I dress now, with all the same playful charm that made us fall for it in the first place.

The Twist on a Clean Base
High Sport Tank, Frame Jeans (similar here), Dior Sunglasses, Shoes & Bag, Sherman Field & Dezso Necklaces
These are the pieces worth having in your closet for casual dinners, last-minute plans, or any moment when you want to get dressed quickly and still have your outfit feel like it has a point of view. They’re the foundation pieces that are cut so well, they do the styling for you. Whether it’s an unexpected color, a really tailored shape, or a fabric with a little shine, there’s something special built into each one. They make up the base of a look without feeling too done, so the whole thing feels relaxed but never plain.
We already know the outfit formulas that always work: a tank and jeans, linen pants and a halter top, shorts with a pretty blouse. The fun is playing around with those familiar combinations to build looks that feel one of a kind. Maybe it’s a red kitten heel popping out under wide-leg denim, a pendant necklace that looks like it was found on vacation, or a belt that gives white linen pants a reason to be noticed.
The trick is in the details. Start with an outfit you already know you feel great in, then layer in personality through your accessories. An embellished sandal, a tassel clutch, or a charm necklace can make summer staples feel fresh again with very little effort, perfect for plans that are easy but still deserve a little something.
