The Garden Party Set

I don’t know if it’s being surrounded by the landscape of Europe, or being out in the countryside, that really makes you stop and smell the flowers. They spill from window boxes, climb stone walls, frame café terraces, and seem to appear around every corner. Even a walk to dinner feels more romantic when you’re passing blooms at every turn.

The moment I saw this set, I instantly pictured myself taking a walk in the garden, perhaps amongst the roses of a villa. That feeling is what inspired this edit of floral sets, embroidered skirts and printed tops that look as though they belong somewhere with open windows. They feel pretty and a little enchanting, vivid but still easy, made for a whole range of occasions.

Lace for Warm Nights

Lace finds its way back into my rotation the second the weather turns warm and stays that way into the night. It feels perfect for evenings like these, a little sheer, a little more romantic, without needing much beyond it. What I love is how lace becomes part of the outfit rather than an extra detail. It shows up through open panels, scalloped edges, sheer layers, and soft contrast. A cami feels more dressed up, a skirt feels more delicate, and even a darker color feels lighter once it’s done in lace.

These are the pieces I reach for when the evening calls for something pretty and special but not overly done. Add a clean sandal, a small bag, and jewelry that catches the light, and the lace does the rest.

Summer Tailoring With a Twist

There are days when I want the refinement of tailoring, but not the formality that usually comes with it. In summer, that often means starting with the shapes I already gravitate towards—a clean short, a cropped jacket, an easy trouser—and letting the fabric, color, or detail take it somewhere lighter.

I look for pieces that feel like they can carry me from a mid-week coffee meeting to weekend brunch without missing a beat. A floral jacket brings energy to a black tank and long short. A striped tee feels more considered with a crisp A-line skirt. A wide leg trouser always feels pulled together, but doing it in linen feels a little unexpected.

It is still tailoring, just with more room to play. The lines stay clean and the shapes stay thoughtful, but there is enough color and texture to make getting dressed feel like the best part of the day.

Every Outfit I Wore in June

June was mostly spent traveling, with five days in Paris, then a couple of weeks between Mallorca and Menorca, and what I wore followed suit. Paris leaned a little more dressed, with city prints, a leopard midi, and my favorite shade of chartreuse green that kept reappearing, all set against grand doors and jewel-toned interiors. Florals and pattern-mixing stayed close throughout.

Then came the Balearic Islands, and my style turned sun-washed and barefoot. Bougainvillea in every shot, block prints and ikat, beaded sandals and crochet, color turned all the way up against whitewashed walls and a red Spanish villa. The pieces that closed out the month felt fully in their element, easy and warm and a little undone, and what’s still in rotation feels exactly right for where July is heading next.
