Pattern Meets Color
More is more when it comes to color, especially when paired with print. When I’m approaching it, the first thing I think about is finding a piece that naturally brings everything together. A printed top, a scarf, even a skirt with multiple tones—something that already holds a palette within it. From there, I pull one or two of those colors through the rest of the look so everything feels connected.
I like to build from that starting point with pieces that carry color in a more defined way. A patterned silk trouser, a fluid skirt, or a lightweight layer in a single, clear tone gives the print something to anchor to and adds a sense of direction.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to pieces that do this especially well—color-washed skirts, softly structured tops with intricate prints, and accessories that introduce another tone seamlessly.
Texture is just as important. Woven bags, crinkled cottons, and airy fabrics break up the color and add dimension. It becomes a way of dressing where everything feels layered, intentional, and effortless.
Printed Cotton Sarong
Style this pareo over a swimsuit with flat leather sandals and oversized sunglasses for a polished beach or poolside look, then add simple gold jewelry for lunch just off the water.
Woven Striped Tote
This striped tote works for beach days, market mornings, and travel, especially paired with an easy cotton dress, raffia sandals, or relaxed linen separates
Fringe Crocheted Tank
This crocheted tank feels perfect with a long skirt or tailored shorts for vacation dinners, coastal afternoons, or warm-weather city dressing when you want texture to do the work.

Amazon Sundays: Mornings in the Garden
This week’s Amazon Sunday is for anyone who spends summer mornings outside. Coffee in hand, watering the herbs, sun on your face, or handing off a trowel and letting the kids turn a corner of the garden into their own project. The kind of mornings where what you reach for is a wicker basket for the flowers you cut, a wide-brim hat for shade, and a set of tools sized for small hands that want to help.

Cart Confidential Vol. 43
This past week we had a couple of mornings cool enough for a jacket on the walk out, then warm again by lunch, and my cart has followed. Green satin with a glassy finish. A feathered brooch pinned somewhere unexpected. Sandals I can still wear at 3pm. One small detail is usually all it takes.
Etro is one of the places I go for print, so I saved several pieces from their new home collection almost immediately, including paisley patterns and fan motifs. Exactly the kind of detail I’m looking forward to setting out come early fall.
Back-to-school is showing up for the girls in the sweetest ways. Trimmed collars, printed pants, and sturdy sandals hanging onto the last of summer.

Every Outfit I Wore in July
Miu Miu Dress & Flats (sold out, similar here and here), Hermes Bag (similar, less expensive here), Janessa Leone Hat
We started the month of July still in Spain and ended up extending the trip because leaving felt impossible. Our days settled into a rhythm I could get used to: breakfast in the sun first thing, a boat or beach day, dinner in town at night. Printed sundresses and sandals carried me through the daytime, and evenings called for vibrant dresses, party pants, and layered jewelry for an extra dose of sparkle.
Once we got home, I turned right back around for a shoot in the Hamptons, then spent a few days getting reorganized and prepped for our final leg of travel this summer. Those days called for comfortable, casual pieces that could keep up with a long to-do list. Looking back through my Daily Looks, July was summer style at its absolute height, right up until those last few days of getting back to real life.
