The February Forecast

Welcome to The Forecast—a fresh new series on our blog where I share a glimpse into the month ahead. From upcoming plans and favorite finds to what’s catching my eye, expect this at the beginning of each month as a curated preview of what I’m up to, what I’m loving, and what’s next.
What We’re Doing
- A black-tie soirée is on the horizon, and this one is always a highlight. I found this stunning skirt at 80% off (mentioned in my Weekly Whims on Substack), and I’m pairing it with either a crisp white button-down or a sleek black top. If you love the look, the dress version in chocolate brown is also deeply discounted.
- Marbled & Fin has quickly become a go-to for date nights. We just had a double date there last weekend, and it remains one of our absolute favorites in Charleston.
- Valentine’s Day prep is in full swing for Clementine and Marigold’s school celebrations. I always turn to Etsy for the most charming, handmade Valentine’s—supporting small businesses while keeping things festive. This year, I picked up bubble favors for Goldie and glitter bookmarks for Clementine.
- Our blog is getting a major refresh, and the coding phase begins this month. Stay tuned for a new look coming soon.
- Mid-month, we’re heading somewhere warm, and I’ve started curating my packing list. A few key pieces so far:
- We’re deep into an intentional home edit before our move—clearing out, organizing, and refining what truly belongs in our next space.
- Our Substack, Trade Offs, is growing into something special. It’s been energizing to explore new formats, deeper storytelling, and real conversations. It’s free to subscribe, and paid subscribers get access to our ongoing chat (plus, I just shared a closet tour video there!).
What I’m Wearing
- This Addison Bay puffer makes chilly mornings feel warmer. The classic blue with subtle pops of color feels fresh, and the price is great.
- These Varley sweatpants might be the most comfortable I’ve ever owned. They come in two lengths (25” and 27”), and I can’t recommend them enough.
- I wore this yellow Alexis dress in my recent Substack video, and it instantly became a wardrobe favorite. The silhouette is chic and cool.
- My Tod’s sneakers have been my go-to for school drop-offs for years—easy, comfortable, and endlessly versatile.
What I’m Buying
- With spring on the horizon, I couldn’t resist this Ferragamo floral scarf—a perfect pop of color for transitional dressing.
- A new iPhone case (under $15!) that feels both practical and fun.
- These Stella McCartney botanical-print pants are a dream.
- Matching spring dresses for my girls and the cutest rain boots to go with them.
- This ultra-chic mini dress has my attention.
- The “it” flats for spring—I preordered them last month and can’t wait for them to arrive.
What I’m Eyeing
- After sharing a glimpse of my Missoni bathrobe on Instagram, I found this incredible similar style on Etsy for under $100.
- These handcrafted metal flowers from Moda Operandi—only a few left!
- These patch-pocket jeans from Me + Em—their latest collection is full of strong silhouettes.
- The newly revealed Cabana Bungalow at The Colony Hotel—I’d move in tomorrow.
- The Barbour x Erdem collection is everything. This coat is a standout.
- Ever since visiting Passalacqua in Italy, I’ve been dreaming about Venetian glass chandeliers for our next home.
- The embellished Gucci bag that feels like a work of art.
See you next month for The Forecast—until then, follow along on Instagram and Substack!
